The injured worker suffered a work-related injury on 5/21/2015 when he was loading fiber material into a machine. This resulted in an award on the workers’ compensation case for 53% to his cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, bilateral hands/wrists and shoulders. He had pre-existing disabilities in the form of Hypertensin, Asthma, GERD, hemorrhoids, sinusitis, rhinitis, liver, and obstructive sleep apnea. Based on the medical reporting, the injured worker was able to obtain an award of 100% disability. As a result of this award, the injured worker was awarded $151,684.23 in past-due benefits and will receive $721.75 plus an annual cost of living increase per week for the rest of his life.
